Ingredients:
- 1 tube (13.8 oz) refrigerated pizza dough
- 4 cups water
- 1/4 cup baking soda
- 1 large egg
- 1 tbsp water
- 1 tsp coarse sea salt
- 4 tbsp unsalted butter
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 tsp dried parsley
- 1/4 tsp garlic powder
Instructions:
- Unroll chilled dough onto a lightly floured surface. Slice into 1-inch thick ropes, then cut into 1-inch uniform pieces.
- Bring 4 cups of water to a boil in a large saucepan. Slowly add baking soda. Boil dough bites in batches for 30 seconds each, then remove with a slotted spoon.
- Whisk the egg and 1 tablespoon of water. Place bites in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Brush with egg wash and sprinkle with coarse salt.
- Air fry at 350°F (175°C) for 6–8 minutes until the exterior is a deep mahogany brown.
- Simmer butter, minced garlic, parsley, and garlic powder in a small pan until garlic is fragrant. Toss the hot pretzel bites in the garlic butter emulsion before serving.
