Ingredients:

  • 1 tube (13.8 oz) refrigerated pizza dough
  • 4 cups water
  • 1/4 cup baking soda
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tbsp water
  • 1 tsp coarse sea salt
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 tsp dried parsley
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder

Instructions:

  1. Unroll chilled dough onto a lightly floured surface. Slice into 1-inch thick ropes, then cut into 1-inch uniform pieces.
  2. Bring 4 cups of water to a boil in a large saucepan. Slowly add baking soda. Boil dough bites in batches for 30 seconds each, then remove with a slotted spoon.
  3. Whisk the egg and 1 tablespoon of water. Place bites in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Brush with egg wash and sprinkle with coarse salt.
  4. Air fry at 350°F (175°C) for 6–8 minutes until the exterior is a deep mahogany brown.
  5. Simmer butter, minced garlic, parsley, and garlic powder in a small pan until garlic is fragrant. Toss the hot pretzel bites in the garlic butter emulsion before serving.
