Ingredients:

  • 8 oz (225g) cream cheese, softened to room temperature
  • 1/2 cup (60g) powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp (5ml) pure vanilla extract
  • 1/4 tsp (1.5g) fine sea salt
  • 1/4 cup (60ml) marshmallow fluff (optional)
  • 1/2 cup (120ml) Cool Whip (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Place the softened cream cheese in a mixing bowl and beat with a hand mixer on medium-high speed for 1-2 minutes until the cheese looks pale, fluffy, and completely smooth.
  2. Turn the mixer to low speed and gradually add the powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and salt. Increase to medium speed and whip for another 60 seconds until the mixture looks like a thick, glossy frosting.
  3. If using marshmallow fluff or Cool Whip, gently fold the ingredient into the bowl using a spatula to keep air bubbles intact, or pulse with the mixer on the lowest setting for 10 seconds until uniform in color.
