Ingredients:

  • 8 oz (225g) cream cheese, softened to room temperature
  • 1 cup (120g) powdered sugar, sifted
  • 1 tsp (5ml) pure vanilla extract
  • 1 cup (240ml) Cool Whip (thawed) OR marshmallow fluff

Instructions:

  1. Place the softened cream cheese in your bowl.
  2. Beat on medium speed for 60 seconds until the mixture is smooth and glossy. Note: This removes any remaining lumps from the block.
  3. Sift the powdered sugar into the bowl.
  4. Add the vanilla extract.
  5. Increase speed to high and whip for 2-3 minutes.
  6. Continue whipping until the color pales and it looks light and fluffy.
  7. Turn the mixer to the lowest setting.
  8. Gently fold in the Cool Whip or marshmallow fluff using a spatula.
  9. Stir until no white streaks remain.
  10. Transfer to a serving bowl and garnish.
