Ingredients:
- 2 lbs ground beef (80/20 blend)
- 1 medium yellow onion, finely diced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can (15 oz) kidney beans, drained and rinsed
- 1 can (15 oz) black beans, drained and rinsed
- 1 can (28 oz) crushed tomatoes
- 1 can (15 oz) tomato sauce
- 1 packet (30g) beef chili seasoning
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
Instructions:
- Place the raw ground beef at the bottom of the slow cooker and spread it into an even layer.
- Top the beef with the diced yellow onion and minced garlic.
- Pour the drained kidney beans and black beans over the aromatics, then add the crushed tomatoes and tomato sauce.
- Sprinkle the beef chili seasoning packet and black pepper evenly across the top.
- Cover with the lid and cook on High for 4 hours or Low for 7-8 hours.
- Approximately 30 minutes before serving, open the lid and use a sturdy spoon to break up the beef and stir the ingredients into a cohesive stew.
