Ingredients:
- 8 oz low-fat cream cheese, softened
- 4 oz sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
- 3 tbsp fresh jalapeños, finely diced
- 1/4 tsp garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp smoked paprika
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 large egg, beaten
- 1 cup Panko breadcrumbs
- 1/2 tsp paprika
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- Cooking spray
Instructions:
- In a medium bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar, diced fresh jalapeños, garlic powder, smoked paprika, and salt. Stir vigorously until the mixture is completely smooth and the jalapeños are evenly distributed.
- Using a small scoop or tablespoon, portion the mixture into small balls approximately 1 inch in diameter.
- Set up a two-stage breading station. Dip each cheese ball into the beaten egg until fully coated, then roll in the Panko-paprika mixture, pressing gently to adhere.
- For Air Fryer: Place bites in a single layer in the basket, spray lightly with oil, and cook at 400°F (200°C) for 6–8 minutes until mahogany-colored. For Oven: Place on a parchment-lined sheet, spray with oil, and bake at 400°F (200°C) for 10–12 minutes until golden brown.
