Ingredients:
- 4 tbsp Unsalted Butter
- 2 tbsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- 4 cloves Garlic, finely minced
- 1 tbsp Fresh Parsley, finely chopped
- 0.5 tsp Kosher Salt
- 1 large loaf French Bread
- 0.75 cup Marinara sauce
- 1 tsp Dried Oregano
- 2 cups Low-moisture Mozzarella, freshly grated
- 0.5 cup Grated Parmesan Cheese
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 200°C. Slice the French bread in half lengthwise and place cut-side up on a large rimmed baking sheet.
- In your small bowl, combine the 4 tbsp butter, 2 tbsp olive oil, 4 cloves minced garlic, and 0.5 tsp kosher salt. Mix until it looks like a creamy paste.
- Brush the garlic-infused fat mixture generously over the toasted bread surfaces, ensuring edge-to-edge coverage.
- Place the bread on the baking sheet, butter side up, and bake for 5 minutes until the edges are just starting to turn pale gold.
- Remove from the oven and sprinkle the 1 tbsp fresh parsley and 1 tsp dried oregano over the warmed butter.
- Spread a thin, even layer of marinara sauce over the garlic base. Top with a heavy layer of mozzarella and a dusting of Parmesan.
- Return to the oven and bake for an additional 7 minutes, or until the cheese is molten and bubbling with golden-brown spots.
