Ingredients:
- 1 lb hard pretzels (twists, nuggets, or sourdough chunks)
- 1/3 cup vegetable or avocado oil
- 3 tbsp honey
- 2 tbsp Dijon mustard
- 1 tsp dry mustard powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp smoked paprika
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 325°F (163°C). In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the vegetable oil, honey, and Dijon mustard until the mixture is a uniform, glossy emulsion.
- Add the hard pretzels to the bowl. Use a large spatula to fold and toss the pretzels continuously for at least 60 seconds to ensure the glaze fills all nooks and crannies and adheres to the smooth surface.
- Line a large rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone mat. Spread the coated pretzels in a single layer and bake for 15 minutes, tossing halfway through, until the glaze is mahogany-colored and set.
