- 1/2 cup water or unsweetened apple cider
- 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 2 tbsp maple syrup
- 1/4 tsp salt
Instructions:
- Core the apples and cut them into uniform 1 inch chunks. Note: Leave the skins on for better nutrition and thickness.
- Place apple chunks, water (or cider), and lemon juice into the pot.
- Cover and simmer over medium low heat for 20-25 minutes until apples are translucent and soft.
- Remove the pot from the heat.
- Stir in the ground cinnamon, salt, and maple syrup.

- Blend in a slow, sweeping motion for 1-2 minutes until the sauce is velvety and uniform.
- Let it cool for 5 minutes before serving or storing.
