Ingredients:
- 6 cups (900g) mixed fresh berries (strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, blackberries)
- 1/2 cup (100g) granulated sugar
- 1 tbsp (15g) cornstarch
- 1 tbsp (15ml) fresh lemon juice
- 1 tsp (2g) ground cinnamon
- 1 cup (100g) old-fashioned rolled oats
- 1 cup (125g) all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup (100g) packed light brown sugar
- 1/2 cup (113g) cold unsalted butter, cubed
- 1/4 tsp (1.5g) salt
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Note: Make sure the rack is in the center for even heat.
- In a 9x9 inch baking dish, toss the mixed berries with granulated sugar, cornstarch, lemon juice, and cinnamon.
- Stir the berries until they are coated in a glossy sheen.
- In a separate mixing bowl, combine the rolled oats, all purpose flour, brown sugar, and salt.
- Add the cold cubed butter to the dry mixture.
- Use a fork or pastry cutter to work the butter in until it resembles coarse wet sand with pea sized lumps.
- Sprinkle the crumble topping evenly over the berry mixture.
- Bake for 30–35 minutes until the fruit juices are bubbling vigorously around the edges and the topping is deep golden brown.
