Terms of Use
Last updated: October 27, 2026
These Terms of Use explain the rules for using Moral of Life at moraloflife.com ("the Site"). They cover how you may use our recipes and other content, what you can send us, and the limits of what we can promise about cooking, food safety and nutrition. Please read them before using the Site.
1) Acceptance of Terms
By visiting or using Moral of Life, you agree to these Terms of Use and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with them, please stop using the Site. You must be old enough to enter into a binding agreement where you live, or have the permission of a parent or guardian, to use features that involve submitting information.
2) Use of Content and Copyright

You are welcome to:
- Cook our recipes at home for yourself, your family and your friends.
- Print or save a recipe for your own personal, non-commercial use.

Without our written permission, you may not:
- Copy, republish or redistribute full recipes, articles or images on another website, app, newsletter or social profile.
- Sell, license or otherwise use our content for commercial purposes, including in products, cookbooks, meal kits or paid courses.

If you would like to ask about republishing or other uses, please use the Contact Us page.
3) User Submissions
The Site lets you send us information in a few ways: recipe ratings and comments, and messages through the contact form. By submitting anything, you confirm that:
- You wrote it yourself or have the right to share it.
- It is not unlawful, abusive, hateful, harassing, misleading or spam, and it does not contain advertising or links to unrelated sites.
- It does not include personal information about other people or any sensitive details you would not want displayed publicly.
Ratings and comments may be visible to other visitors, so please do not include your email address, phone number or other private details in them. By posting a rating or comment, you give Moral of Life a non-exclusive, royalty-free right to display it on the Site. You keep ownership of your own words.
We may edit, decline or remove any rating or comment at our discretion, for example if it breaks these rules or is off-topic. Messages sent through the contact form are used only to reply to you. For details on how submitted information is handled, see the Privacy Policy.
4) Recipe and Nutrition Disclaimer
Our recipes are developed and edited to give you clear steps, realistic times and temperatures, ingredient substitutions and food-safety notes. Even so, cooking is variable, and we cannot guarantee the result in your kitchen.
- Results vary. Ovens run hot or cool, pans conduct heat differently, ingredients differ by brand and season, and skill levels vary. Treat times as a guide and use your own judgement, adjusting as needed.
- Nutrition values are estimates. Any calorie or nutrient figures shown are approximate. They depend on the specific products, brands, portion sizes and substitutions you use, so they should not be treated as exact.
- Allergens and dietary needs. Recipes may contain or come into contact with common allergens such as milk, eggs, wheat, nuts, peanuts, soy, fish and shellfish. Always read the labels of the products you buy and check every ingredient against your own allergies, intolerances and dietary requirements. Ingredient substitutions we suggest may not be suitable for everyone.
- Food safety and doneness. Handle, store and cook food safely. Wash your hands and surfaces, keep raw and cooked foods separate, refrigerate leftovers promptly, and reheat them thoroughly. Use a food thermometer to verify doneness rather than relying on color or time alone. As a general guide, poultry should reach 165°F (74°C) and ground meats 160°F (71°C), and whole cuts of beef and lamb should reach at least 145°F (63°C). Fish should reach 145°F (63°C) as well. Follow the guidance of your local food-safety authority where it differs.
- Not medical or dietary advice. Content on the Site, including terms such as "healthy," "light" or "high-protein," is general information for home cooks. It is not medical, nutritional or dietary advice. If you have a medical condition, are pregnant or nursing, are cooking for infants or older adults, or follow a special diet, please consult a qualified health professional before relying on any recipe.
You are responsible for deciding whether a recipe is suitable for you and for preparing it safely.
5) Third-Party Links, Ads and Services
The Site may contain links to other websites, including our social profile on Pinterest, and it displays advertising provided by Google AdSense. We do not control third-party websites, advertisements or services, and we are not responsible for their content, accuracy, products or privacy practices. Linking to or showing a third party does not mean we endorse it. Any dealings you have with advertisers or other third parties are between you and them, and their own terms and privacy policies apply. Information about cookies and consent choices is in our Privacy Policy.
6) Acceptable Use
Please do not use the Site in a way that could damage it or interfere with other visitors. This includes attempting to gain unauthorized access, introducing harmful code, overloading our servers, or using the Site for any unlawful purpose.
7) Disclaimer of Warranties and Limitation of Liability
The Site and its content are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Site will always be available, uninterrupted or free of errors, or that any recipe, time, temperature, substitution or nutrition estimate will be accurate or produce a particular result.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Moral of Life and its authors and contributors are not liable for any loss, injury, illness, allergic reaction, property damage or other damages arising from your use of the Site or from preparing or eating any food based on its content. You use the recipes and information at your own risk.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.
8) Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms of Use from time to time, for example when the Site's features or legal requirements change. When we do, we will change the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Site after an update means you accept the revised Terms, so please check this page now and then.
